Assignment: I just need your opinion on my discussion post I wrote. I do not need you to rewrite or restate what I said. I just need I agree or disagree. You have a valid reason because. like as if you and I were having a discussion.

This is a unique idea and one that I've spent quite a bit of time thinking about. I find that I don't personally, solely align with either major political party but rather that I'm somewhere in-between. Both the democratic and republican parties have policies with which I agree and disagree on, and I know that I'm not alone in this way of thinking. A third party would make a lot of sense and it might be a way to shrink the divide within our nation but it could also cause a lot of problems for America.

While a three-party system is possible, I don't believe that it is realistic- at least not right now. Unfortunately, there are simply too many people who are closed-minded to this idea and who vote solely for their one party, no matter the policy. A major problem that I foresee happening with a three-party system would be the elections. For example, if one of the three major parties knew that they were going to lose an election, they would probably campaign and cast their votes for one of the other two parties instead of themselves to ensure that they would choose the winner. Although now that I write it out, I suppose this isn't really a problem but rather just a change in the election process.
