Several archetypes of parents exist in American society. A few of them are the strict parent, the permissive parent, and the parent who tries to be the child's friend. How does parenting style affect a child's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development? I am especially interested in comparing the parenting styles of parents who are atheists and those who are strongly religious.
