To fully understand and appreciate the power of the sensitivity reports Solver creates, one must also be able to identify relevant constraints as well as the right-hand side (RHS) values of those same constraints. One must also have a general idea of where these RHS values come from and why they might be subject to change. For this thread, please provide an example of a constraint (one from the text or one of your own creation). Then explain what the RHS value means, being sure to explain where it came from and why it might be subject to change. For example, please think back to the Assembly and Testing constraint of Problem #23 in Chapter 2. That constraint had a RHS value of 1000 hours. The 1000 was an RHS value that probably came from an operations manager who knew that, given the current personnel employed and machines available on the shop floor, that was all the time that could possibly be devoted to the tasks of assembly and testing in the upcoming period. The value of 1000 might change (perhaps drastically) in the future if, for example, the decision-makers agreed to allow for overtime in the near-term or, in the longer run, hire more people.
