GEN302 Fundamentals of Innovation & Entrepreneurship - Emirates College of Technology
For this project, pick a problem to solve in an Abu Dhabi Pension Fund located in UAE. Use the design thinking skills that you learned to identify a specific pain point for customers/clients, employees, or both.
1. There has been a shortage of the company's financial accounts.
2. The employee's problem with the manager may be the problem of discrimination (that the manager did not give him the promotion he deserves and gave it to someone else who has not achieved any achievements in the company)
3. The problem of not keeping up with technology and product development and the emergence of rival companies dominated the market(
.... Etc (you can also write problems form your side)
You need to conduct four interviews should be conducted and a short summary of each interview should be turned in with your project (be sure not as question & answer), produce a journey map, generate at least one "How Might We" question, Ideas for solutions and brainstorming and come up with at least three possible solutions.
Project structures:
1. A table of contents (as attached style)
2. An introduction summary of (describe the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, what is the problem issue faced in the company, use design thinking process & steps in your project, the way we solved and how we noticed and how we thought and how we analyzed the way, and 3 solutions for the problems faced)
3. Applying the design thinking process in the interviews.
4. Risk taking at every stage of the project (e.g. nature of problem explored, who is interviewed, ideas carried forward, approach to the presentation, etc.).
5. Carrying forward multiple insights and ideas.
6. Showing where you have learned from feedback and how it has affected your solution.
7. Conducting interviews that reveal needs.
8. An Empathy map that shows the interviewees' insights: both their observations and inferences.
9. A journey map that reflects what was learned in the interview and yields new insights.
10. A "How Might We" question that reflects a need identified in the interview, perhaps something revealed in the journey map (Something that wouldn't have been obvious prior to interviewing).
11. At least 3 possible solutions that emerge from brainstorming (idea generation) that could be explored/prototyped.
12. A conclusion and recommendations
