You are a HR consultant hired to oversee the recruitment of senior leaders for an IT company. Your client is baffled by your proposal to include an expensive cognitive ability test in the assessment battery, claiming that work experience and academic qualifications provides sufficient information to tell whether a candidate can perform on the job.
