Mack "the knife" Mason is a famous YouTube/TikTok cook. He has millions of followers on both platforms who watch as he drives around Australia in a combi van, stopping to combine cooking with extreme sports. His partner, Ella, also features extensively and has her own presence on both platforms, also with millions of followers.

Jonno and Mandy are both RNs at a public hospital in Northern Queensland. They are also fans of Mack and Ella and are really excited that the couple are travelling in Northern Queensland. One morning they are rocked by the news that Mack has been murdered. Ella has been taken to the hospital at which Jonno and Mandy work for treatment, but they are not involved in her care. The following day they begin their shift hearing the news that Ella has been arrested and charged with Mack's murder.

During a break in their shift on the next day Jonno says to Mandy 'hey - just checked Ella and Mack's clinical records. Did you know ....' But Mandy swiftly interjects 'Jonno!' Jonno's response was 'yeah, yeah, I do it all the time. How else do I have all the goss?' but says no more. Later Mandy receives a snapchat from Jonno - containing photos of Mack's autopsy, and a screen shot of Ella's medical records showing she is undergoing a psychiatric assessment, with a winking emoji and flame emojis.
