Word Count 2500 for the proposal.
Requirement for the first week: Annotated outline from one of the three bulleted assignments.
The purpose of the final project is to apply the concepts and techniques of the module to the analysis of real-world situations or problems. Students are expected to use diverse sources of information and to carry out an original analysis rather than summarize or rehash existing work. Students are encouraged to use situations and data from their own experience where possible
Prepare an annotated outline of the Project Report indicating the gist of each section in the report along with a list of references on both the case(s) studied and the concepts and techniques applied. This is due to be handed in next week.
You should select one project from the following three:
• Analyze key parameters of a company’s supply chain operations, suggest improvements, and predict the operational and economic impact of the changes.
• Compare the supply chain practices of two or more different companies in the same industry or similar industries. Should one firm adopt another’s superior practices, or are their situations sufficiently different that each is already optimised? Why?
• Develop a supply chain operations plan for a hypothetical new enterprise, based on information about real-world resources, vendors and customers. Justify the design.
Determine particles position and the velocity of particles
: The acceleration of a particle along a straight line is defined by a=(2t-9)m/s^2, where t is in seconds. At t=0, s=1m, and v=10 m/s. When t=9s, determine the particles position, the total distance traveled, and the velocity.
