Case study - David Jones is a 68-year-old Caucasian married male who lives with his 65 years old wife, Sarah. He has been married for 42 years and has three grown children: John 40, Elizabeth 38, and Pamela 34. David grew up, owned, and managed his family's large ranch in Rawlings, Wyoming. He continued to run the ranch until he was about 60, when his son John took over the ranch. Sarah and David still live on the ranch property.
David, Sarah, and their daughter Pamela were present during the inial session. During the session, David seemed agitated and confused and did not feel that the VA services are needed and needed. Sarah and Pamela discuss David not being left alone, and his changes in behavior are worrisome to his family, especially his wife, Sarah. Sarah narrated that she noticed David experiencing memory issues and his ability not to sit still. Sarah expressed how they used to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune every night, and now they can't because he won't still and becomes angry when he doesn't remember the questions on the TV or how to put together simple words.
