Peer Post Below: Muscles of respiration and describe their roles in breathing

Research:
The respiratory system is one of the most important systems of our body providing the necessary functions needed to supply our oxygen throughout our body and remove the carbon dioxide. The respiratory system is built of various muscles ,but the main muscles are the diaphragm and internal costal muscles. The diaphragm produces roughly two -thirds of the pulmonary air flow and serves for two main functions ( Saladin , pg 839). The diaphragm muscles separates the thoracic and abdominal cavity that undergoes contraction and relaxation altering the production of the thoracic cavity and lungs (Saladin pg .839 ).The lungs one of the important factors to our breathing is one of serval muscles that assist and aid the diaphragm as well and contribute to the contraction .On the other hand the internal costal muscles are accessory muscles that enable forced expiration by depressing the ribs allowing for the air to be pushed out of our lungs an example exhaling after inhaling. (Science Direct Topic ,2017) Both muscle together help with our breathing and after my research I realized the importance of our respiratory system and how it not just a random system that and just like every other system in our body there are unique.

Critical Thinking:
Many may not realize but our respiratory system is a very important system that allows us to do our daily tasks. If it weren't for our respiratory system we wouldn't get the fresh air into our bodies that allows our body to functions properly allowing us to do certain activities such as sports ,singing etc .Our respiratory system is the the reason we can breath with out the unwanted toxins.
