Learning Outcome 3: Enhance course delivery and review with appropriate technology.
First, complete a self-analysis of learning context and learning needs analysis of a learning need that you have. Then, in pairs, explain your context and learning need to your partner and have them provide their assessment of your learning need. Note any changes, additions, or suggestions your partner brings to the analysis. Identify what sources of information have been used to determine the need, and what other sources of information might be useful to elaborate and validate the learning need.
Describe the tools that can support your analysis of the professional context and your learning needs.
Second, in your pairs, prepare a presentation/video providing details of your analysis. Typically, you will have 3-5 mins to describe your professional context, learning need and analysis, and gaps to be addressed and developed. It is expected that each person in the pair will present their analysis and their partner will provide input and commentary on the analysis. Then switch, so that the next partner presents their analysis followed by the first partner's inputs and commentary. Each partner has equal time for their presentation of their learning needs analysis and commentary on their partner's analysis.
Video presentation: The total presentation will last no longer than 12 minutes and include a set of no more than 10 slides. The first slide will
include each learner's name, photo image and title of the presentation. The presentation content (i.e. slides 2-9) will address the professional context, learning needs self-analysis and tools used. Once completed this will be followed by their partner's review key points.
Then the case presenter will present a summary of additional information, tools and plans to deepen the analysis and inform the requirements of the development plan. The concluding slide will include all reference sources used to research and present the analysis.
Written Summary Report: Each individual student will prepare a brief report of not more than 1,000 words summarising their Professional Context and Learning Needs Analysis including their partner's feedback, a list of all references and the tools used.
