Purpose:

Purpose is to get you to engage with the Organisational Behaviour literature to address real world problems.

Instruction:

Read the case study 'Reaching Beyond'. The case study is printed below. The case study describes the current situation of a Melbourne-based company, Beyond. The CEO Jack Warner is concerned with the emergent organisational culture and believes the differing leadership styles and power tactics of the senior management team may be contributing to it.

Answer the following:

Question 1. Analyse the current organisational culture of Beyond and contrast it to the earlier organisational culture.

Question 2. Analyse the leadership style(s) of the executive team and senior management team and compare the effectiveness of the different styles.

Question 3. Identify influence tactics evident in the case study and compare the effectiveness of the identified tactics.

Your answers to these three questions will help the CEO address the existing challenges.

Your assignment should have the following sections:

5. Conclusion. Summarise key points made in the assignment.
