Where will the application of an anthropological perspective be most effective?
The education system in America has taken a turn for the worst in most cases. The emphasis on the value of education itself has somehow taken a back seat to fame and fortune of an educated or uneducated person. Children should be encouraged to embrace diversity when choosing a focus in school throughout the duration of their academic training. Therefore, the anthropological perspective would be most effective in the counseling and administrative sector of schools. An anthropological approach to directing a child's future would be appreciated in terms of preparing them to be able to associate with the different types of people, their cultures, and making them aware of their needs in future terms.
Consider and describe how the study of anthropology and its unique perspectives on human cultural behavior will most benefit you in your life and future career.
The unique perspective that anthropologist take on human cultural behavior is the fact that they give a deeper more focused view of the world that surrounds us, and provide specifics on how we can support one another according to the needs of each culture (Nowak & Laird, 2010). With applied anthropologist working in all sectors of the school system via the counselor's position they can not only direct the students, but also direct the teachers in creating a diverse education experience. This gives the student an advantage and a reason to pursue their dreams and live outside the box of their own culture.
