GALES is Genomic Annotation Logic and Execution System (GALES): Annotate a genome locally on Ubuntu
Please use Ubuntu only to do the following steps:
1- Download FASTA file
2- Follow steps in the free source GALES README that found on GitHub project page to generate annotation
3- Use the prok-cheetah pipeline within GALES
4- These steps will download lots of reference data
5- Use HMMer3
6- Gzip and get the resulting GFF3 annotation file
on Ubuntu - It is downloading the above bacteria fasta file and annotating it using GALES (using these 2 options: prok-cheetah and HMMer3) on Ubuntu
