A thin rod of mass M and a length L rests on a frictionless table. this rod is stuck at a point L/4 from its center of mass by a clay ball of mass m with a speed v perpendicular to the rod. the clay ball sticks to the rod. determine the translation motion ans the rotational motion of the rod / ball combination following the collision. hint both linear momentum ans angular momentum are conserved in an inelastic collision.
