Question 2. You are the HR director for a busy city center office and have been asked to recruit a new office supervisor. As part of the recruitment process a detailed set of competencies were devised and detailed in the job advertisement. An online recruitment process was utilized to advertise the job with an application form to retrieve the candidate's details. This was successful and resulted in 40 applicants applying for the job. Outline the selection strategy you would implement to ensure the best person is chosen for the role and assess the decisions that must be made throughout the selection process.

Question 3. You are the training and development manager in a growing medium sized organisation with a total of 200 employees. The senior leadership team have decided to bring in an online e-HR system which will allow employees to self-control and manage their personal details, holidays and attendance at training systems. As such, the line managers will be trained first to ensure that they know how to use the new system and can train their direct employees. The training will be delivered by yourself using demonstrations, practical activities and videos. The face-to-face training sessions will last for one full day. Using Kirkpatrick's model of evaluation, discuss how you would evaluate this training approach, giving specific examples of evaluation methods.
