Ali, a resident of Maryland, owns a thriving business within the state called Spice It Up. The business operates on Ali’s 80-acre farm to grow and sell herbs and spices to local groceries, gourmet food shops, and farmers’ markets. Recently, Ali received purchased $10,000 worth of herb seeds and plants from Plants, Inc., a nursery in North Carolina. The seeds and plants shipped to Spice It Up were all molded and unusable upon arrival. Plants has refused to replace the order or to refund Ali’s money for purchase.
