Question: Danny and Joanna decided to break into a school building to vandalize it. While they were in the school, they looked at each other and said simultaneously, "Let's get the mascot costume!" They broke into the gym, which was a room within the school building, where they found and grabbed the team's mascot costume. As they headed for the exit, they encountered the school's security guard. Danny and Joanna knew the guard would be on duty but thought he would be patrolling the other side of campus at this time. Unknown to Danny and Joanna, the security guard had decided to switch the order in which he patrolled campus this evening. The guard yelled at Danny and Joanna, "Stop immediately! I am armed!" Joanna laughed at the guard because she believed bullets could not pierce her skin. In her words, "I have been chosen by God to withstand the slings and arrows cast by all others so that I can attest to his greatness, and therefore the rules of man do not apply to me." She walked up to the guard, grabbed his gun, and shot him. Danny was stunned. He knew nothing about Joanna's delusions. He just thought she was a little quirky and adventurous.
