Question: Choose someone you communicate with often. It can be a friend, a family member (parent, child, sibling, grandparent, etc.), a coworker, or your favorite barista at Starbucks.
For this assignment, you will think about this person and analyze them as a communicator. What are they good at? What are they bad at? What, in your opinion makes them good or bad? It is ok to be objective in this assignment, as everyone's communication preferences are different. However, focus on 1) their communication style, not your response to it and 2) analyze their communication style, not their personality.
Please give a very short background of how you know the person and how long you have known them, and show, don't tell, in your analysis why they are a good, bad, or some of both as a communicator.
An example of "showing" versus "telling" in writing:
"Showing" describes the person (Example: "Joe was great to talk to because he was funny and could find humor in any situation. When I was feeling bad about something I would often text him to get a lighter perspective on things")
"Telling" states something about a person and makes the reader assume the rest (Example: Joe was the funniest person I ever knew and always made me smile.)
Please write 500-600 words on the person of your choice.
