Introduction

You will analyze the Using Electronic Procurement to Facilitate Supply Chain Integration: An Exploratory Study of U.S.-Based Firms case study by Dawn H. Pearcy, Delvon B. Parker, and Larry C. Giunipero (2008), and cover the pertinent facts of the case in the context of the respective project procurement management concepts covered in the Week 6 Lesson and textbook reading.

For this assignment, analyze the case study and write a three- to four-page paper including the following for grading. This assignment must be completed individually. The title page and references are excluded from page count. The paper must follow exactly what is required in the instructions, including being organized exactly as listed in #5, below. Papers that do not follow the organization shown in #5 below will be graded as a zero and will not have the option to be corrected and resubmitted.
Summary: Summarize the case. Identify the main point (as in "What's your point?"), thesis, or conclusion of this case. (20 points)
Support from Research: Do significant research outside of the case, and demonstrate that you have in a very obvious way. This refers to research beyond the article itself. This involves something about the company, organization, individual, and must be relevant to the case study topic. Show the relevancy in what you have discovered from your own research. Be sure this is obvious and adds value beyond what is contained in the case itself. Avoid direct quotes, avoid cutting and pasting graphics from sources, and make sure you properly cite and reference your sources. (30 points)
Evaluation: Apply the concepts from the reading assignments presented in the lesson and the Kerzner textbook for the week. Be sure to use specific terms and models from the textbook in analyzing this case and include the page in the citation. It is required that you use the textbook (30 points). By textbook I mean: Project Management. A Systems Approach to Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling. 13th Ed. The author is Harold Kerzner. It is the fourth link under Modules>Introductions and Resources in the courseroom.
