Question 6: Identify hidden layers in the speech. Be sure to discuss unstated assumptions or premises made by the speaker. What values and beliefs does the author assume his/her audience will share? Do you believe the author is correct in this assumption?
Question 7: Identify the speaker's dominant rhetorical strategy. For example, if you think the speech emphasizes emotional appeal over other types of appeals, discuss that quality of the speech. Give examples.
Question 8: Finally, analyze the speaker's style and delivery. Describe the speaker's "vocal quality" (rate/volume/variety) and the speaker's "use of language"
