As the call goes to the domestic violence cell, the police officer must analyze the situation from the perspective of domestic violence. Firstly, he must probe the case. Young children must be interrogated, as often children are the rich source of any incident. Further, the police officer must meet with nearby locals. If such domestic violence is occurring, they must have a little idea. If all information goes with his assumption, he can take his next step, to interrogate the man and the woman. Now, he has to measure the actual threat and severity of the violence. If it goes out of the limit, he can further encourage the woman to file a diary, which will further be helpful for the confinement of the man. If the situation is minor, the police officer can fine the man and be cautious about further consequences.

The first virtue of a policeman is to be strong, as it is essential in this occupation. He must use analytical power to think logically about the situation. He must hold indifference and eliminate all partialities until the crime is proven. Many times, false allegations may create barriers in the appropriate decision-making process. Further, he must make all of his decisions depending upon the proof. The interrogation process must acquire those truths. Therefore, his logical reasoning will help him to differentiate between fact and untruth. Those can help him make the right decision in such a problematic situation.
