When you've filled in the age for each tree, use this data to create an age structure diagram for each forest.You may need to use the whiteboard feature to complete your age structure diagrams. Since pines do not have a gender, you can put equal numbers of individuals on either side of the vertical axis instead of splitting into males and females.

Analyze the shapes of the age structure diagrams to make predictions about how the tree populations will change over time.

Finally, prepare a report, using the criteria on the lab report rubric, to provide your recommendation on the suitability of these two forests for lynx reintroduction. Your report should include your age structure diagrams and their implications for the current and future health of the forests. In addition, you must include in your argument about whether or not each forest is suitable for lynx reintroduction.
