Case Study: The purpose of this proposed qualitative exploratory investigation is to delve into why healthcare leadership in Florida have not utilized management practices of employee engagement to resolve the issue of healthcare provider burnout, caused by COVID-19 pandemic. Two or more healthcare individuals that hold leadership positions within the state of Florida will participate in a semi-structured interview. The purpose of the interviews is to understand why healthcare leaders did not utilized management practices of employee engagement to address burnout issue of healthcare providers that were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Results of the study could stimulate healthcare leadership to implement management practices that centers on employee engagement to reduce and potentially resolve healthcare provider burnout within the state of Florida.
