Leory - Good Morning Dr. Keller & Classmates,
Being a frequent shopper at Aldi, I often find good deals, the type of shopper I am; I always look for the best deals. They have a few ground rules or need to know if you are shopping and require a basket. You must bring a quarter to get a shopping cart, which may seem a little over the top, but it is a sure way to keep up with shopping carts. One recommendation I would make to modify their business-level strategy is not having customers feel that they are getting savings and quality but paying as go. This includes the shopping carts and carry-out bags, but the quarter is refundable once the cart is returned. I do not know the exact price of bags, but if you need three bags or more, it can cut into what you were saving based on the type of bag or bags you may need. Aldi would probably be more beneficial to the consumer if there were some incentives or rewards programs offered towards their carry-out bags.
Of the five business-level strategies discussed in chapter 4, I feel that integrated cost leadership/differentiation is applied more to Aldi's brand and scope of doing business. Aldi is about offering the consumer a product at a cheaper cost and not making the cost higher. A shopper may feel differently if Aldi's focus was based on any of the four Aldi may not be able to offer you the saving they currently offer.

I like what Aldi's is doing on the market and i wouldn't change not one thing right now.The company is creating value for its customers in offering low cost products, also the company is doing an outstanding job in cutting out the middleman keeping that competitive edge using their own brand of products recycling materials eliminating the high cost of advertisement of running radio and televison ads. The company uses a more settle approach running ads in the local newspaper. Aldi's can modfiy their business by offering a full range of products online as they do in store customers would just love that.
Interated cost leadership /differentitaion strategy Aldi's offer low cost products in their supply chain period that's different from any other supply chain. Others are competing to lower cost trying to grab customers attention at Aldi's its automatic saving every day.

I believe Disney as well as I see that they try their hardest to not use greenhouse effects at all. they also have a no-waste policy which states that there will be nothing of theirs witch would not end up in the landfills. I believe they are pushing forward successfully to be a profound company that works its hardest to keep everything clean. They also have a type of condition or technology they use to save water. I believe Disney has a positive effect on the world. They impact society a great deal with them being a big corporation trying to save the earth a little at times witch I think is a big help.

Hello Professor and Classmates,
For this weeks discussion I decided to choose Starbucks to thoroughly explain a prominent environmental practice in which the company has implemented recently. The practices they have implemented and planned to do so in the future, include actions that have made them successful as well as forward thinking due to them having a long term goal to accomplish company wide. Starbucks has decided to put a plan in place to cut their water use, waste and carbon completely in half by 2030. Although that is a few years from now, that to me is forward thinking taking into consideration how to make your company more "green" for the years to come. The company wants to add plant based products to their menu, utilize reusable packaging, practice recycling better as well as investing in new farming practices that could overall conserve water. The companies policies has impacted society by offering new items and ingredients to their menu while also making the world a better, more efficient place to live. The company itself and the environment will be impacted by reducing utility bills and using/wasting water. Also, using reusable packages can reduce the amount of trash the company will have, also saving money and doing less harm to the earth by not putting as much waste into landfills.
