Case: Many approaches may be taken when managing the production of an IT-related project. One of those factors is that the offshore company contains those individuals versus the organization. This would allow the project manager to focus on more pressing issues versus dealing with issues involving staff. The company would be able to manage the project more accurately and ensure that the offshore is adhering to the contract. Although there are risks associated with this option, it still allows the company to maintain control of the overall picture of the organization's profits.
Other factors that would play a key role are using intellectual property protection (IP), labor rights, privacy, and data sharing. These factors must be strategically aligned with the offshore contract before it is executed. Looking into other countries laws and regulations also has to be considered.

Of course, with advantages, there are also some disadvantages & risks, but it is the job of the stakeholders to make those decisions so the company can proceed with caution.
