1. Identify three trends or characteristics that are common among members of Congress. Please be thorough in identifying the characteristics and giving details which back up the fact that the characteristic looks to be common. (consider aspects like education level, gender, religion, age, etc.) After identifying a characteristic hypothesize as to "why" that commonality exists.
2. What are three differences that we see in the 117th Congress as compared to the 116th and past memberships? Please identify three differences and explain why you think there has or has not been a change that you identified.
3. Congress is supposed to be the body of government most closely tied to its citizens, meaning they are voted directly by the people to represent the people. Given the data you've analyzed here, do you believe that Congress is truly representative? Use information from the sources you analyzed to support your answer. 4. Regardless of your answer to the previous question, do demographics really matter in being able to carry out the duties of being a member of Congress?
