Your Client, Henderson Printing
Your firm was approached by George Henderson, Owner and CEO of Henderson Printing (see case in text appendix page 480 to 481 for the case; TIP - if you use an ebook only, in your ebook, go to "back matter" and then select "appendix"; scroll to find "Henderson Printing"), to analyze their current organization and formulate a new reward and compensation strategy that will help maximize the firm's success. At present Henderson Printing does not have a compensation system so it is quite haphazard. The company is struggling as they don't have sufficient funds to meet their payroll. George would like to weather the storm here and leave the business is in a positive state when he retires in the next year or two. He plans to leave the company to his daughter, Georgette.
You visited the company in Halifax and interviewed staff. You identified the organizational problems and will provide a summary of these findings in your report.
The existing positions at Henderson are: Owner/General Manager, Office Manager, Administrative Assistant, Bookkeeper, Graphic Designer, Salesperson, Print Production Supervisor, Print Production Operator.
