Details of the task:
Explain the set up a peer-to-peer small business network for a company named . Three computers are connecting to the wired network on two floors. Name these computers Manager, Accounting, and Marketing.
You must explain which menus in Windows are chosen for each setup and describe the entries.
Part A:
1) Analyze the current network topologies then explain why did they choose the peer to peer network? Then draw the network topology diagram which is used for the company network.
2) Construct the connection. Note: IP address for each user need to use from class C or B.
3) How would you test the connections?
(a) Configure IP addresses using TCP/IP utilities.
(b) Verify the MAC addresses using TCP/IP utilities.
(c) Check network connection using TCP/IP utilities.
Part B:
4) The three wired computers have a dedicated folder set up to share files. The shared folder should be named appropriately. The folders should be created as Lib, Principal, Sales and Acad.
5) How would you configure the NTFS permission for the shared folders for each user?
6) Explain how to test access to all folders.
7) The manager of the company who uses a Window computer says he is tired of having to manually access all folders shared by Accounting and Marketing each time he logs on. What would you recommend? Explain the steps on how you configure it.
8) Design the floor plan and network cables for the company by using EdrawMax.
