Question - The role of corporate governance and management is crucial in creating an ethical work environment. This role serves as an example to everyone within the company. This concept is referred to as the tone at the top. If top leaders display ethical behaviors, then a norm is established for what is acceptable and what is unacceptable. For example, if a grocery store manager consistently takes items, such as paper towels or candy, for personal use without paying, then the cashiers will see this as acceptable behavior and will do the same.

Worldwide, there are many examples of corporate corruption, from Enron and WorldCom to Bernie Madoff. Using the university library, locate an example of corporate corruption. Include the following considerations in your analysis:

Analyze the corruption for the signs of ethical collapse.

Contrast the signs identified with the structural elements of an ethical organization.

Analyze the financial and non-financial impact of corruption in the company.

Analyze the impact of corruption on internal and external stakeholders.

The example that you select should have occurred within the past 2-3 years.
