Community Collaboration Plan
Actively apply the concepts and theories learned to a real-world problem. Create a plan for forming a community collaboration with the goal of solving or addressing the problem. Describe the problem, the community, and the various stakeholders. Identify the individuals who should play a part in solving the problem. Apply analytical tools to the problem and use the findings to shape the final project-your strategic plan of action for a community collaboration on a topic of your choice. The final project will consolidate the information you have gathered into a cohesive plan that addresses the various factors that contribute to the success of a collaboration:

• Purpose.
• Resources.
Project Objectives
To successfully complete this project, you will be expected to:
1. Analyze theories to collaboration between government and community.
2. Analyze practices of collaboration in the public sector.
3. Examine participative government methods.
4. Compare success in change management in community collaboration settings.
5. Communicate effectively in professional and academic settings.
Project Requirements
To achieve a successful project experience and outcome, you are expected to meet the following requirements. Follows the structure given in the Metterssich text:
• Environment.
• Membership characteristics.
• Process and structure.
• Communication.
• Purpose.
• Resources.
• Written communication: Written communication is free of errors that detract from the overall message.
• APA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to APA Style and Formatting.
• Number of resources: Minimum of 20 peer-reviewed resources.
• Length of paper: 12-15 typed double-spaced pages.
• Font and font size: Arial, 11 point.
Scoring Guide Requirements:
1. Evaluates theories and practices of collaboration between community and government and explains the rationale for choices made.
2. Evaluates methods of citizen involvement and advocacy in collaborative efforts and describes a strategy for implementing them.
3. Evaluates public decision-making that is appropriate for collaborative efforts and evaluates the feasibility of applying them in the collaboration being proposed.
4. Evaluates participative government methods for aspects of problem complexity, stakeholder participation, obstacles, tangible results, and acknowledgement of success and makes recommendations based on the needs of the community collaboration's goals and resources.
5. Evaluates the factors associated with the specific community collaboration that contribute to long-term successes and failures; incorporates strategies that utilize this evaluation into the plan.
6. Demonstrates vibrant academic writing style through engaging and well-organized prose that contains no significant grammatical or mechanical errors and consistently follows APA style and citation guidelines.
