BUS 323 Introduction to Organizational Behavior - Westcliff University

1. In a group of 3-4 students assigned by your professor:

a. Choose an organization. Make sure that if the team members are in different areas, that the organization has' offices, stores, or locations local to every team member. Go through the company website and/or printed materials. Based on the materials, analyze the organizational culture, values, ethical implications, etc. The analysis must include what you plan to review and compare in steps b & c.

b. Next, each team member must visit the organization and observe the actual situation (it can be individually or as a group). Remember to take notes while on site. It is a good idea to ask permission to take pictures and notes (sample request found here). Complete and take with you in case it is needed.

c. Compare your observations based on the visit and their claims. Discuss your findings in reference to the theories you have learned in this course. A minimum of one theory per student is required for this final project.

d. Include the photographs taken on site if any.

In addition to your 10-15 pages Team Report, You and your team will present your project to your class as a group. You may use PowerPoint, Prezi, or any other presentation tool to assist you with communicating project components. The presentation will consist of your background, major findings, analysis, and recommendations in a concise presentation of 15 slides.
