Policy Analysis defines the problem and the goals, examines the arguments, and analyzes implementation of the policy. Policy recommendations are the key means through which policy decisions are made in most levels of government. 

You should briefly articulate the health care problem, supporting your thoughts with well-reasoned arguments. 

Your paper should include:

• Problem statement: What your paper will address (thesis). Defines the problem addressed in the analysis. Choose a health care policy question. What is the problem to be addressed? Example: What action should President Obama take to improve the vacation rate for the adults over the age of 65? (YOU MAY NOT USE THIS EXAMPLE AS YOUR TOPIC)
• Background/ Overview of the health problem: Discuss an overview of the public health problem. Discuss the problem and number of people affected by it or the age group in which the problem affects. Provides factual information needed to understand the problem.
• Landscape:  Reviews the various stakeholders and their concerns. This section should frame the context of the analysis.  Identify key stakeholders. Identify key factors such as political, social, economic, practical, legal or quality-of-care factors.
• Existing policy related to the topic: Discuss the most important legislative, judicial, and regulatory policy instruments that apply to the health care problem.
• Options: Discuss what the options are to fix this problem. Include how to go about fixing the problem in detail.
• Recommendation: What is your recommendation regarding this problem from a public health perspective as a Christian scholar? Make sure to back up your opinion with the facts. According to the biblical worldview, what do think is a good method for resolving this problem?
