Case: Now that you have learned about mood development, how tone and irony are constructed within Hamlet and the connection between what a character says and the actions in the play to further develop the theme, it is your job to interpret the play and develop a point of view.
You should analyze Hamlets antic disposition, the sarcasm and irony Hamlet uses with Polonius that offers rich context in which to build a case.
You need to pick a scene up until now (from Act I to Act III) and w/rite an adaptation of the scene in a parody form of a complex scene or soliloquy from the play into a narrative using modern day English for their peers.
You must:
Replace almost every word with a word of your own that serves the same grammatical purpose (nouns with nouns, etc.) Pick a scene that speaks to you; an event or feeling that you can relate to from your own personal experiences. The goal is to retain Shakespeare's rhythm and structure, but c/reate your own meaning.
