Aims of project

In fulfillment of course objective 2, each group should develop, through research and analysis, the ability to analyze the financial statements by applying data analytics and evaluate the financial performance of a company. This will enhance the financial analysis skills of the students while they are working in small collaborative group. In addition, to explore the significant role the financial management plays in the corporation.

Company - Rak Properties 

Tasks

• Each group is be given a name of one company, which has to be different from one group to another.
• Each group has to introduce the selected company: industry, number of employees, international presence, and collect its balance sheet and its income statement of 2015, 2016 and 2017.
• Each group has to analyze the company's performance in related to short term solvency or liquidity ratios, long term solvency ratios, asset management ratios, profitability ratios and market value measures.
• After consultation with the Instructor, each group has to make a comparison between the selected company and another company from the same industry. This comparison covered only the Profitability Ratios.
• The conclusion of the project must include a financial advice to investor to whether he/she should invest in this company or not, and why?
