The purpose of this assignment is to get you to think about and explore the role of motivation and emotion in the success you experience in your HBCP program. You will identify and analyze motivational and emotional factors that contribute to academic success and provide recommendations for how post-secondary students can effectively manage their motivation and emotions to achieve their academic goals.

1. Identify and describe at least two motivational factors that contribute to academic success.

2. Using course readings and additional research, identify and describe at least two emotional factors that contribute to academic success.

3. Analyze how these motivational and emotional factors interact to influence academic success. Explain how motivation and emotion may impact each other, and how they may impact specificacademic outcomes, such as grades or persistence.

4. Provide recommendations for how you and other students can manage your motivation andemotions to achieve your academic goals. Describe specific strategies that can be applied in thecontext of post-secondary education and justify your recommendations using psychologicaltheories and research.
