Question: I'd like you to select any work of art/art object or performer/group that has a meaningful connection to you and then complete a detailed reflective examination. It can be a theatre production, a song, a film, an artist (and their work in general) anything that you feel passionate and connected to. Your essay should do three things:

1) it should analyze the art/artist using terminology from the semester. How are they (the work of art or the artist) examples of stuff we talked about this semester? Be specific.
2) it should consider the relationship of the art/artist to society, determine if the art/artist shapes, reflects, and/or critiques society. If they do, how do they do that? What are they critiquing, reflecting on?
3) it should analyze the impact of individual perspectives and positionality (the social and political context that creates your identity in terms of race, class, gender, sexuality, and ability status) of the art/artist, both in the way the art was created or how the artist creates it, and how audiences respond to the art.
