Analyze an African American person's racial identity using on of the racial identity models.

The person can be a real individual (e.g., Barack Obama) or a character from a film, book, or TV show (e.g., Cliff Huxtable from The Cosby Show).

  1. Give some background information of this individual or character. 
  2. Describe which stages of racial identity the person has exhibited and why. 
  3. If Sellers' model, be sure to apply all four dimensions (salience, centrality, ideology, and regard). 
  4. If Cross' model, as described by Helms (1990), should demonstrate understanding of this individual's racial identity development by discussing his/her movement from one stage to another and explain why. 
  5. Be sure to include specific examples of the individual's behavior to support.
