Assignment:
1. Search for portfolio or program management office (PMO) manager/leader/director positions in job search engines such as Glassdoor, Indeed, and CareerBuilder.
(Kindly include the URL of the job profile selected and the company website name and URL)
2. Select a PMO manager job advertisement for a real national (not virtual and not multinational) organization with a PMO having a physical address.
3. Research the organization to obtain adequate information about its structure and functions. Please do not select any organization for which you are unable to collect any relevant information.
4. Analyze the advertisement and submit a report about an ideal PMO structure and functions for the organization.
5. In completing the assignment, make appropriate assumptions and state them in report.
6. Your report must include the following elements;
a. Description of the organization including its vision, mission, strategy
b. Portfolios, programs and projects and possible challenges and the need for a PMO
c. A suitable PMO structure and its functions
d. The role of the PMO Manager in that organization
e. An organization chart showing the position of the PMO in relation to other key organizational units, and its description.
