Analysis of the Upper Extremity:

The student will select a sports technique in Appendix G of the textbook that utilizes the upper extremity as its primary movement. For example, the shotput skill throws the implement with the upper extremity. The lower extremities are involved in the shotput sport skill however, for this assignment you are only focusing on the upper extremity. The student will perform a full anatomical analysis by answering the following questions and filling in the chart. Make sure to select what phase of the skill you are analyzing. The primary purpose of the skill. Identify the movement phases. Classification of the skill. (Example of this on pages 6-7 of the textbook). Simultaneous-sequential nature of the motion.
