Your client is a small private investment fund and after a very profitable 2021 has sat on the sidelines holding nothing but a cash position throughout 2022.

It has noted the growing confidence of many market pundits who have proclaimed that 'the bear market is dead'. The owners of the fund are not convinced, but do not want to be blindsided and miss out any opportunities.

Your team of expert analysts have been engaged by the fund to:

• Review the current condition of the financial markets. Limit the review to US equities, US bonds, major forex (and bitcoin).

• Identify the key institutional influences on the markets at the moment

• Provide guidance as to which, if any, markets provide opportunity for the fund and which, if any, positions could be taken.

Your client is not after a review of an individual stock, nor does it want a review of financial statements. Technical analysis is to be avoided.

When reviewing US equities, you can split the equities into major categories such as Tech, Financials, Energy, FAANG, Meme etc. Or you can just review the S&P500 and the Nasdaq.

Analysis of the crypto and forex markets should be constrained to major pairs only.
