Based on your analysis of one of the business's communication formats (eg. newsletter, blog, social media account), write a short report (1.5-2 pages). describing how the business adapts its messaging with decisions related to audience, expert writing techniques, and message design. Use the External Communications Analysis Worksheet included in Module 2 to organize your information into three body paragraphs: Audience, Writing Techniques, Message Design. Also include an introduction and conclusion to your analysis. Refer to Chapters 4 and 5 to review the first two phases of message design, which include the information you'll need for your analysis. Also, refer to Chapter 7. pages 161-169. for information related to external business messages communicated through digital and social media.
Format
For this short report, you will continue to use memo-style formatting. See Figure 12.8 (p.322) for a sample document. demonstrating the appropriate use of headings. along with Figure 12.9 (p.323) for additional tips related to document design. Note the left-aligned, single-spaced paragraphs. extra spaces between paragraphs. and use of headings.
