Plan, research, and write an analysis of a rhetorical text that exists in society today. Keep in mind that the term "rhetorical" here is meant to refer to argumentation, and "text" can refer to books, articles, films (particularly nonfiction/documentary type films), television, speeches, and even bodies of work such as websites.
Please use one of the following articles as the text for your analysis. If you would prefer to use a different text, approve your topic with me prior to beginning your writing. (Keep in mind that my email response time can be as much as 24-36 hours.)

In basic terms, your paper should identify the argument that is being made in the text and then analyze that argument: break it down into pieces, explain how it is working (and/or is supposed to be working), and then explain whether or not it is an effective argument and why. Again, use the section from Chapter to guide your writing; if you follow the steps outlined there, your paper will be off to an excellent start.
