Topic of Interest –on a topic that relates to the syllabus of this unit, as well as the students’ interest and considerations such as their career options and/or workplace contexts. Synopsis of the chosen topic indicating background of the topic, problem for technology to solve or ameliorate and how this will be discussed e.g using case tools presented in class. Note: student is not restricted to use this form of analysis). Discussion of why you think the topic is of importance/relevance to Health Informatics Management as presented in the course syllabus.

The Background write-up is required to be submitted online by no later than 9pm. Suitable technologies include (but are not restricted to) those mentioned throughout the unit e.g. mHealth, eHealth portals, 3D technologies and data centres and appropriate organisations include (but again are not restricted to): healthcare facilities, dental/medical practices, insurance companies, government health organisations and departments and / or pharmaceutical companies.

Background of the study including Problem description. Methodology/Analysis - How technology will resolve identified issues/problems, Any barriers/facilitators/ complexities. Also, it is recommended but not compulsory to use analysis tools presented during the class to assist and guide your analysis. Discussion - Implication for theory/ practice and policy/management. Applications generalisability for all relevant stake holders. Conclusions including Lessons learnt, inferences and recommendations arising from the analysis of your topic. Evidence from literature and readings that are properly referenced in support of your analysis.
