Part: Applying a Recreational Drugs Article to the End of Course Essay

In Part Two students are to submit their full answers to both e-tivity 3.4 and 3.7.

In e-tivity 3.7 we will need full answers to questions 1-4 form the e-tivity itself, but we will also want the full reference of the article that was selected from the List of Essay Resources.

Purpose To highlight the need to analyse essay questions in order to refine the reading topic and to consider the topic of soft drugs and alcohol for assignment three.

Task 1: Go online and spend some time researching ‘analysing essay questions'. Visit at least three different sites. Feel free to take notes and save them for future use.

Write an answer of at least 100 - 150 words in which you give us the details of the article you selected and the answers to points 1-4. Also tell us whether you used EBSCOHOST or Google Scholar or both.

1. Find one of the articles from the List of Essay Resources that has been loaded in week three Study Desk. You can either use EBSCOHOST or Google Scholar to locate the article;

2. Next read the article and consider if it supports or counters your initial opinion about the end of course essay

3. Identify a section of the article that you believe you can use in your end of course essay and consider why that section is useful (it could be a paragraph, or a couple of sentences)

4. Think of how you would summarise that section in your own words.
