Question: Write a maximum of 2,500 words reflective essay that addresses the following:
Critically reflect on your own consumption during the recent lockdown period. Analyse pertinent drivers underlying your behaviour with regard to purchasing one specific product or service. Analyse the potential role of culture in shaping your perceptions, attitudes, and choices. Analyse the role of the digital world in shaping your perceptions, attitudes, and choices. You must discuss culture and the digital world throughout your essay.
Analyse means scrutinise in detail. You need to discuss academic literature and link it to your own reflections. The academic literature should provide supportive evidence of why you thought or behaved as you did. Specific requirements are given below.
You are required to:
• focus your essay on one product bought during the lockdown period.
• draw on six theories, models, or concepts, from at least four lectures, in your analysis.
• (You can choose to discuss any theories, models, or concepts covered in class or in the associated reading, but in total you need to cover at least four of the lectures on this module.)
• relate to culture and the digital world throughout your essay.
• go beyond the mundane reasons for your consumption.
• be analytical and critical in your reflection not simply describe your behaviour.
• cite at least 10 different academic sources (journals and books) to underpin your essay in the relevant literature. At least 6 of the sources must be journal articles relevant to the theories/concepts being discussed.
• use the Harvard referencing format
The limit of 2,500 words is the upper limit for this assignment and you must not go over this word count. You can have a minimum of 2,000 words. The word count excludes references and any appendix or other supplementary material such as screen shots.
