A learning organisation is one that develops itself through facilitating the learning of its members. Both individual and collective learning are key to the long-term survival of modern organisations. Lack of organisational learning does not only undermine organizational effectiveness; failure to recognize the importance of organisational learning can prove to be detrimental to both organisations and their employees.

Select an organisation of your choice. Provide a brief background of the organisation.

1. Analyse the organisational learning policies and processes which are currently in place in the organisation.

2. Critically evaluate the extent to which organisational learning is effectively managed in the selected organisation.

3. Based on your critical evaluation, you are required to develop an effective plan for effective organisational learning. You need to justify your recommendations in the context of organizational effectiveness, given the challenges of globalization and heightened competition, facing organizations today.

4. Synthesis is expected via links to salient elements of organisation and business management, apart from organisational learning.
