Organisational Transformation Assessment

Assessment - Client Report

For this assignment, you are expected to write a fictional Client Report.

You can write this report about any existing organisation of your choice.

Note: you cannot choose any of the following organisations: M&S, Thames Water, Volkswagen, Meta or Aramco, as they will be used in the group assignment.

You will act as an external consultant. In this role, you will advise senior management about any changes that you think will be effective to improve organisational and managerial approaches to enhance their performance. These approaches will be based on your written analysis of what you consider to be the company's current circumstances, their existing strengths, weaknesses and potential challenges'.

In your Client Report therefore you should do the following:

Briefly introduce the organisation, providing information related to its history, mission/vision, and values.

Analyse the organisation's internal resources and capabilities, highlighting its key strengths and weaknesses.

Analyse the organisation's external environment, outlining key opportunities and threats.

State one short, medium, and long-term goal for the organisation.

Recommend up to three changes that your client organisation must implement, to achieve the goals stated above.

The Client Report must be completed within 2,000 words (+/-10%).

The Client Report must be informed by relevant theory and supported by research on the chosen organisation and its environment. You are expected to use the most up-to-date data on your chosen organisation and the industry it operates in.

You can use up to 10 relevant sources of evidence and information, to support your analysis. Your references must include sources used in the module (e.g. the Managing Change textbook).

You are required to use Harvard referencing list both in text and in your reference list. Guidance on Harvard referencing is available on the University website.
