For this task you are to complete the following activity to demonstrate your ability to research global design trends.
Complete the following actions to conduct research into design trends:
1. Analyse the formal and informal research strategies to source information on global design trends, and select appropriate strategies. Document this analysis, and the strategies selected.
2. Using the research strategies selected, and accessing complex sources, conduct research on a complex range of design issues, trends and ideas, and identify and explore new and alternative sources. Document this exploration.
3. Evaluate the credibility of the information gathered, and ensure that the research scope is sufficiently broad. Record the evaluation, and the research scope.
Analyse design trends, to inform your own practice, through the following steps:
4. Using relevant information, challenge and extend own perspectives and ways of thinking. Record the outcomes of the challenging and extension.
