Students compile and analyse an organised and open-ended resource collection suitable for use in the planning and provision of experiences for young children.

The Resource Collection is divided into key learning areas. There should be a selection of materials, aids, ideas, and resources for all age groups, from birth to 5 years and integrated lesson plans and activities utilizing different resources. Assessment takes account of the standard of presentation and lesson plan using a designated resource for a particular age group

Suggested structure:

• Divide your resource file into four parts

• Describe each of the resources in detail (you can provide photos where needed)

• The key learning areas for this assignment are:

• Physical movement

• Language skills - multilingualism

• Mathematics

• Music, arts and drama

• Diversity

The resource collection should be organised to demonstrate your understanding of

1) integrated approaches to curriculum

2) emergent approaches to curriculum

3) inclusivity in ECE

4) multiculturalism / multilingualism in ECE

5) connections with the natural world You can nominate more than one approach in your lesson plans.
