An electric power station is producing 1 x 10+3 W of power that is to be sent to a small town located 11 km away. Eachof the two wires that comprise the transmission line has aresistance per kilometer of length of 4 x 10-2 Ohms /km. Find the power lost in heating the wires if the voltage is stepedup from 140 V to 1100 V using an ideal transformer.
